Overview
- On July 13, the Andhra Pradesh government issued a formal order activating its Space Policy (4.0) 2025–30 framework.
- The AP Space City Corporation will be established as an SPV to coordinate infrastructure development, attract investments and facilitate industry partnerships.
- A technical committee under the Commissioner of Industries is tasked with vetting and processing land-allotment applications for the proposed Space Cities.
- The policy aims to draw ₹25,000 crore in investments over the next decade—projects estimate creation of over 35,000 jobs in space-linked high-technology sectors.
- Dedicated Space Cities at Lepakshi and Tirupati will be complemented by manufacturing clusters near Sriharikota to support research, production and launch logistics.
