Overview

• Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to complete Phase-1 works on Machilipatnam, Ramayapatnam, Mulapeta and Kakinada Gateway ports by December 2026.
• Phase-1 construction of Juvvaladinne, Nizampatnam, Machilipatnam and Uppada fishing harbours must also be finalised within the same timeframe.
• As of June 2025, construction stands at 43.25% for Machilipatnam Port, 63.89% for Ramayapatnam Port, 46.59% for Mulapeta Port and 29.92% for Kakinada Gateway Port.
• Officials have been instructed to launch Phase-1 works on new airports in Kuppam, Dagadarthi, Amaravati and Srikakulam under a public-private partnership model.
• The state government will establish the Andhra Pradesh Logistics Corporation to coordinate infrastructure growth across ports, airports, roads and fishing harbours.
