Andhra Pradesh Reaffirms 20 Lakh Jobs Goal, Cites Rs 20 Lakh Crore Investment at Dallas Outreach

Addressing the Telugu diaspora in Dallas, Minister Nara Lokesh detailed an eight-zone development plan with new support for students and overseas families.

  • Speaking in Dallas on December 7, Nara Lokesh reiterated the five-year jobs target and said the government has secured Rs 20 lakh crore in investments over 17 months, which he claimed can generate 16 lakh jobs.
  • He outlined a decentralised eight-zone strategy spanning automotive in Anantapur, renewables in Kurnool, electronics in Chittoor and Kadapa, solar and diversified manufacturing in Nellore, CBG and green fuels in Prakasam, quantum tech and capital projects in Krishna and Guntur, aquaculture and agro-exports in the Godavari districts, and IT, pharma, medical devices and steel in North Andhra.
  • He announced the Kallaku Rekkalu program will begin next year to support students pursuing overseas education, alongside an APNRT pledge to assist Telugu families abroad during social, financial or legal crises.
  • Lokesh promoted the government’s “One State – One Capital” message and framed progress under “double-engine” governance involving Narendra Modi, N. Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan.
  • He called for at least 15 years of uninterrupted NDA rule and criticized the previous YSRCP tenure, while urging diaspora-led entrepreneurship tied to planned innovation hubs and tech parks.
