Andhra Pradesh Police to Launch National AI Hackathon in Guntur on June 27-29

Winning teams will share a ₹10 lakh prize pool with their solutions refined through a new PRISM R&D wing.

Overview

  • The three-day event at R.V.R. & J.C. College of Engineering will invite participants to develop AI-based tools for policing and public service challenges.
  • Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is set to inaugurate the hackathon, which has attracted about 30 domestic and international tech firms and academic teams.
  • Organizers have identified eight focused problem statements in collaboration with knowledge partner 4SightsAI to guide solution development.
  • Participation is free and selected teams will receive accommodation, certificates and a share of the ₹10 lakh cash award.
  • The Andhra Pradesh Police plan to pilot winning submissions through the new PRISM R&D unit and are exploring ties with India AI alongside existing drone and CCTV deployments.
