Andhra Pradesh Police Probe Death of 10-Year-Old Dalit Girl Found Hanging
Police say they are verifying circumstances following registration of a case under the BNSS.

- The girl was found hanging in her rented home in Konaseema’s Ramachandrapuram between 4:30 pm and 6:00 pm on November 4, according to preliminary information.
- Her mother, Sirra Sunitha, returned from Kakinada to a door locked from inside and, with neighbours, forced entry into the single-entry house, police said.
- She was taken to the nearest hospital, where doctors declared her dead.
- Ramachandrapuram DSP B Raghuveer said preliminary findings point to suicide and that officers are verifying all possible circumstances.
- Police registered a case under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita as they examine the mother’s allegation against the landlord, reported to have a prior murder conviction.
