Overview

• A high-level security audit was held in Tirumala on May 30 under DGP Harish Kumar Gupta and TTD Executive Officer J Syamala Rao to review protection measures for the Lord Venkateswara temple.

• The meeting proposed installing a multi-layered vehicle scanning system at Alipiri and partnering with defence agencies to deploy sensor-based surveillance at key entry points.
• Participants recommended strengthening the TTD’s cyber security infrastructure to guard against evolving digital threats targeting temple operations.
• Attendees discussed forming a dedicated disaster management team and holding regular coordination meetings among all stakeholders to enhance emergency response.
