- At the same event the deputy chief minister launched Nandanavanam, a restoration programme for mining‑degraded hills, and planted a native banyan sapling as a symbol of the rehabilitation effort.
- Forest officials noted recent field activity—185 wildlife rescues and 36 human‑wildlife mitigation operations in 2024—and said centralizing monitoring could speed rescue response, improve conflict management and help coordinate long‑term landscape restoration.
