Andhra Pradesh Launches Ambitious Tourism Drive With ₹25,000 Crore Investment Target

Officials have been directed to secure Rs 25,000 crore in tourism investments and fast-track infrastructure projects to boost the state’s travel appeal.

  • Detailed project reports are to be prepared under PRASAD and Swadesh Darshan schemes to tap central funds for sites like Lepakshi and Lambasingi.
  • Work at Kakinada NTR Beach, Uppada Beach and PRASAD projects at Simhachalam and Annavaram temples must be fast-tracked while ensuring security and cleanliness at key beaches.
  • The roadmap also includes staging a grand World Tourism Day on September 27, developing tent cities and igloo-style stays at temple destinations, forging a Buddhist circuit and planning a new Tourism Bhavan in Amaravati.
