Overview
- Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar opened the ₹14 crore facility on June 27 with ₹5 crore funded by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency.
- The G+2 structure houses SCADA and RMU labs along with transformer and meter testing rooms to train linemen and engineers from 11 districts.
- Design elements such as cavity walls with triple AAC blocks, three-layer glazing, star-rated appliances and variable refrigerant volume air conditioners drive energy savings.
- A 50 kW rooftop solar array makes it the first public building in the state to integrate on-site renewable generation.
- The project aligns with national ECBC objectives and complements state solar schemes like PM-KUSUM and PM Suryaghar to expand rooftop solar connections.
