Overview

  • Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s Cabinet approved the Andhra Pradesh State Quantum Mission to position Amaravati as a national research hub.
  • Fifty acres have been earmarked for Quantum Valley development, with IBM deploying its 156-qubit Quantum System Two and TCS and L&T joining as software and tech park partners.
  • A Quantum Summit is scheduled in June to convene global experts and finalize strategic action plans for the mission’s rollout.
  • The Cabinet endorsed the One Family, One Entrepreneur policy by approving one MSME park in each of the state’s 175 assembly constituencies.
  • It also allocated Rs57 crore and Rs82 crore for drinking water projects in Srikakulam and Chittoor districts and cleared land transfers for a new police academy in Eluru district.
