Overview

  • Ration distribution will shift to 29,760 fair price shops across the state beginning June 1, replacing door-to-door mobile units
  • Shops will operate daily from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. through June 15, including Sundays
  • Home delivery for elderly and differently-abled beneficiaries must be completed by June 5
  • About 1.46 crore ration card holders are eligible, with roughly 4.4 lakh receiving supplies in the initial phase
  • A forthcoming digital app will display photographs and contact details of dealers to enhance accountability
