Overview
- The facility combines 4 GW of solar cell capacity with 4 GW of module capacity, developed in two phases over 120 acres.
- Commercial output is scheduled to start in July 2027, with the second phase targeted for July 2028.
- The state has facilitated roughly 300 acres for a dedicated captive solar plant, and Websol plans a 100 MW captive installation to cut energy costs.
- Customized support under the AP Industrial Development Policy 2024–29 includes land allotment, capital subsidy, power tariff reimbursement, duty exemptions and water-charge subsidies.
- The project is expected to create about 2,000 direct jobs and significantly expand Websol’s footprint while reinforcing a growing regional solar manufacturing cluster that includes Premier Energies, Tata Power and Voltsun.
