Andhra Pradesh Cabinet Approves ₹1 Lakh Crore Package for Industry and Energy

  • The Cabinet cleared multiple industrial land allocations, including a 50‑acre Drone Industries Park at Orvakal, 100 acres to Sigachi Industries for a synthetic organics plant, 150 acres to Dozco India in Anakapalli, and sites for a Veda Innovation Park in Krishna district and a TMT bar unit in Anantapur.
  • Energy measures include a Renewable Energy Manufacturing Zone over 1,000 acres in Bapatla’s Ballikurava, a 250 MW solar project in Kurnool awarded to SAEL Solar P12, and expansion of the Chittamvalasa pumped storage project in Vizianagaram from 800 MW to 1,800 MW by Navayuga Engineering with ₹7,972 crore in private investment.
  • To support utilities, the government sanctioned guarantees of ₹5,000 crore to APPFCL for HUDCO loans and ₹1,150 crore to DISCOMs, and approved an ordinance amending the Andhra Pradesh Electricity Duty Act, 1939.
  • Officials outlined an action plan for the Visakha Economic Region spanning Srikakulam to Konaseema, with state estimates of $100–115 billion in potential investment, port‑led cargo improvements, green energy projects, and plans that include an AI data centre by Google in Visakhapatnam.
  • Separately, the Chief Minister virtually laid foundation stones in Kuppam for seven projects reported at ₹2,203 crore with an estimated 22,330 direct jobs, alongside a vision to make the constituency fully solar powered and net zero.
