- Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu announced the allocation of land to Shreeja Milk Producer Organisation and Mother Dairy for industrial projects in Kuppam.
- Shreeja will invest Rs 233 crore in a dairy and animal feed processing unit, while Mother Dairy will set up a Rs 105.10 crore fruit pulp processing facility.
- Together, the projects are expected to generate up to 8,000 jobs, providing a significant boost to the local economy.
- The initiatives aim to strengthen the rural economy by directly procuring milk and horticultural produce from local farmers, enhancing their income.
- Both companies have been directed to complete the establishment of their units within 15 to 18 months, as part of the state's 'Swarna Andhra' vision.
