Andheri West High-Rise Fire Contained at Chandiwala Pearl Regency, 27 Evacuated and One Injured

Firefighters said the blaze at Chandiwala Pearl Regency was contained to an electrical duct, with extinguishing taking about two and a half hours.

  • Officials reported 27 residents evacuated, including nine rescued by ladders from the third and fourth floors and 18 escorted via the staircase.
  • A 27-year-old woman was treated for smoke inhalation at Cooper Hospital, power was temporarily shut for safety, and the fire was declared extinguished at about 4:35 pm.
