The music-driven family comedy marks the Grammy winner’s feature directing debut rooted in pandemic projects with his son.

  • The first trailer arrived Jan. 14, with the film opening exclusively at AMC theaters across the U.S. on Feb. 27.
  • Directed, co-written and produced by .Paak, the film casts him as BJ, a down-on-his-luck musician who joins the house band for a Seoul K-pop competition show.
  • His real-life son, Soul Rasheed, co-stars as Tae Young, as the story centers on a father–son reconnection on the series Wildcard.
  • K-Pops! premiered at TIFF 2024, had its U.S. premiere at Tribeca 2025 and was acquired by Aura Entertainment for its theatrical rollout.
  • Original music features collaborations with K-pop producer Dem Jointz, and cameos include IShowSpeed, Diplo, SEVENTEEN’s Vernon, Crush, The Rose and Jaden Smith.
