Ancient Bronze Age Jar Restored and Back on Display at Israeli Museum

A 4-year-old accidentally smashed the jar, but restoration experts have pieced it back together, adding a 'Please Don't Touch' sign.

The jar, dating from 2200 to 1500 BC, was broken by a curious child visiting the Hecht Museum in Haifa last month.
Restoration experts used 3D technology, hi-resolution videos, and special glue to reconstruct the artifact.
The museum, known for displaying artifacts without glass barriers, added a 'Please Don't Touch' sign to the exhibit.
Museum director Inbal Rivlin noted the incident touched hearts globally and provided a distraction from the ongoing Gaza conflict.
The Geller family, whose child caused the accident, was invited back to the museum for a special visit and hands-on activity.
