Justine Triet's 'Anatomy of a Fall' has received five Oscar nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress (Sandra Hüller), Best Original Screenplay and Best Film Editing.
Triet is the eighth woman ever to be nominated for Best Director, and the only woman nominated in the category this year.
'Anatomy of a Fall' is a French drama about a writer on trial for her husband's murder, which has also won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival and two Golden Globes.
Three out of the 10 nominees for Best Picture were directed by women, which is a record.
