Ananya Panday Debuts Free Art-Based Kindness Curriculum in Indian Schools
Available on YouTube, the six-module course is piloted in 24 schools pending its integration into the DIKSHA portal.
Overview
- Launched on July 25 under Panday’s So Positive banner, the initiative was developed in partnership with Slam Out Loud’s Jijivisha Fellowship and Arts for All Programme to target children aged nine to 15.
- Pilots are under way in 24 schools across Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru, with the program aiming to reach more than 300,000 students in northern and western states.
- Ananya Panday narrates and personally guides all six modules, which use art-based activities such as storytelling, poetry and visual arts to foster empathy and compassion.
- The full six-module curriculum went live on So Positive’s YouTube channel on July 26, providing free global access for educators, parents and students.
- Efforts to embed the curriculum into the Government of India’s DIKSHA portal are in progress to support nationwide adoption as an open educational resource.
