Anaheim Woman Arrested, Charged After Dog Thrown Over Vet Clinic Fence on Video

Prosecutors say security video built the case that now holds Thompson on $50,000 bail.

  • Surveillance footage shows a plastic grocery bag tossed over an 8-foot fence around 1:30 a.m. on Nov. 12, after which a small white poodle/Maltese mix emerged.
  • Veterinarians reported acute injuries consistent with impact, including jaw and facial trauma, along with chronic neglect such as severe malnourishment, anemia, fleas, missing teeth and overgrown nails.
  • The dog is receiving round-the-clock treatment with Orange County Animal Care and is not available for adoption during the ongoing case.
