HIDALGO, TX – MAY 28: Special agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Border Patrol, and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) question a man while his vehicle is searched after he was stopped heading into Mexico at the Hidalgo border crossing on May 28, 2010 in Hidalgo, Texas. The inspection was part of a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) joint effort between ICE, CBP and Customs and Border Patrol. Overview

  • Anaheim says at least six people were arrested in multiple federal immigration operations across the city over the weekend.
  • At the Euclid Car Wash, agents in black SUVs and a white van deployed what appeared to be a smoke canister and detained a bystander who was later released.
  • Additional activity included at least five detentions at the Home Depot on North Brookhurst Street on Saturday and a targeted operation near Orangethorpe Avenue and Kellogg Drive on Sunday.
  • One detainee, Isaac Dominguez, identified as a U.S. citizen, is seen on video saying he could not breathe as agents pinned him to the ground.
  • Anaheim has joined other cities in a lawsuit challenging the tactics, saying the raids have destabilized families and neighborhoods.
