Her semifinal berth broke a 15-year drought, earning India its first female World Junior medal since 2010.

Overview

  • Singh defeated Egypt’s Malika Elkaraksy 11–6, 13–11, 11–5 in the quarterfinals to guarantee a podium finish.
  • She fell 6–11, 12–14, 10–12 to Nadien ElHammamy in the semifinals to secure the bronze medal.
  • At 17, she is only the third Indian woman to reach the junior worlds semifinals, following Joshna Chinappa in 2005 and Dipika Pallikal in 2010.
  • Singh entered Cairo seeded second behind three-time defending champion Amina Orfi and overcame quarterfinal exits in the 2022 to 2024 editions to reach her first semifinal.
  • Ranked world No. 54 on the PSA tour, she has medalled at the British Junior Open and US Open and is now transitioning into senior professional competition.
