ANAC Suspends Total Linhas Aéreas Operations Indefinitely

Overview

• Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency suspended all operations of Total Linhas Aéreas and made the measure indefinite until the carrier fixes open non‑conformities and passes ANAC oversight.
• ANAC cited critical and high‑level failures in operational safety procedures, inspection processes, safety management systems and civil aviation security against illicit interference.
• The agency ordered Total to recomposite its administration with managers subject to ANAC validation, strengthen its Safety Management System and its System of Analysis and Continued Supervision, and regularize continued airworthiness controls.
