Renowned Mexican Actress Celebrated for Extensive Career in Film, Stage and Television

Mexican actress Ana Ofelia Murguía, known for voicing the character Mama Coco in Disney Pixar's Oscar-winning movie 'Coco', has died at the age of 90.
Murguía's career spanned over seven decades and included more than 100 roles in stage, film and television.
She was one of the last surviving stars from the Golden Age of Mexican Cinema and was recognized with a lifetime achievement Golden Ariel award in 2011.
Her role in 'Coco' brought her international recognition and the film won two Academy Awards in 2018 for best animated feature and best original song for 'Remember Me', which Murguía performed in the film.
The cause of Murguía's death has not been disclosed.
