Amy Winehouse Biopic 'Back to Black' to Star Marisa Abela, Sets UK Release Date

Marisa Abela has been cast to play Amy Winehouse in the upcoming biopic 'Back to Black', with filming set to begin on January 16 in London.
The film, directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and written by Matt Greenhalgh, will focus on Winehouse's life up until her death in 2011.
Jack O’Connell will star as Blake Fielder-Civil, Winehouse’s former husband, while Eddie Marsan will play Winehouse’s father and Lesley Manville will play Winehouse’s maternal grandmother.
The film has the full support of Universal Music Group, Sony Music Publishing and The Amy Winehouse Estate.
The UK release date for 'Back to Black' is April 12, 2024, with other international release dates yet to be announced.
