• Dowden announced on Instagram that she has been nominated for two BAFTA Cymru awards, earning nods for Presenter and Single Documentary for Strictly Amy: Cancer and Me.
• Her documentary is also shortlisted in the Authored Documentary category at the National Television Awards on September 10 at The O2 in London.
• She told ITV's Lorraine she will miss the NTA ceremony because she will be filming Strictly Come Dancing’s pre-recorded launch show.
• Family members will attend the NTAs on her behalf and would accept the award if the documentary wins.
