Amy Adams and Javier Bardem to Lead Apple TV+ Thriller 'Cape Fear'

The 10-episode series, produced by Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg, revisits the classic story with a modern take on America's true crime obsession.

Amy Adams will star as Anna Bowden, a married attorney, alongside Javier Bardem as Max Cady, a killer from their past, in Apple TV+'s adaptation of 'Cape Fear.'
The series is based on John D. MacDonald’s novel 'The Executioners,' which inspired the 1962 and 1991 films of the same name.
The show will consist of 10 episodes and is described as a Hitchcockian thriller that examines America's fascination with true crime in the 21st century.
Martin Scorsese, who directed the 1991 film, and Steven Spielberg are among the executive producers, with Nick Antosca serving as writer and showrunner.
Produced by Universal Studio Group’s UCP and Amblin Television, the project continues Adams' streak of starring in and producing high-profile projects.
