Ampere Launches Nexus EX+ Electric Scooter

The model pairs a 5 kW motor with a 3 kWh LFP battery plus an optional Intellipack connectivity suite to aim at family riders and longer ownership horizons.

Overview

  • Greaves Electric Mobility unveiled the Nexus EX+ on Monday, October 5, and said the scooter is available through Ampere dealerships nationwide in two trims priced around ₹1.30 lakh for the standard model and about ₹1.36 lakh for the Intellipack variant.
  • Ampere lists a new 5 kW motor that it says produces 202 Nm peak torque at the wheel and delivers a claimed 0–40 km/h time of 4.5 seconds to improve hill and pillion performance.
  • The scooter uses a 3 kWh LFP battery with a claimed 136 km IDC range, a reported 0–80% charge time of about 3.1 hours, and a 5-year or 75,000 km battery warranty with a 200,000 km design life target.
  • The higher-priced Intellipack adds Ampere Connect features such as live tracking, geo-fencing, remote diagnostics and turn-by-turn navigation, and customers should confirm whether any app subscription or accessory charges apply.
  • Media coverage warns buyers to verify real-world range, on-road pricing and whether the IP65 water-resistance rating applies only to the 750 W charger, and places the Nexus EX+ against mid-to-high family scooters from TVS, Ather and others.
