Overview
- The re-release begins October 2 in Argentina via MACO and expands October 9 to Mexico, Brazil and Chile via MUBI, to Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Central America via Cineplex, and to Uruguay through MACO subdistribution.
- The restored version screened at Cannes Classics, with image work supervised by Rodrigo Prieto and a new 5.1 mix by Jon Taylor at NBCUniversal StudioPost.
- In Mexico, the film will screen in 35 mm at Cineteca Nacional in Mexico City and Cineteca FICG in Guadalajara, with a regional streaming window on MUBI starting October 24.
- A touring sensory exhibition, Sueño Perro, runs in Milan from September 18 to February 26, opens in Mexico City on October 5, and is slated for Los Angeles in spring 2026.
- The anniversary program includes an official MACK Books volume with previously unreleased production materials and essays by Denis Villeneuve, Walter Salles, Jorge Volpi, Wendy Guerra, Elvis Mitchell and Fernando Llanos, alongside Ariel Awards honors and a masterclass reflecting on the film’s legacy.
