• At a 67th Ariel Awards talk in Puerto Vallarta, actor Gustavo Sánchez Parra said the film’s originality has endured, while producer Mónica Lozano placed its debut within a turn‑of‑the‑2000s resurgence of Mexican cinema.
• AMACC said it will present its new Reconocimiento al Mérito Cinematográfico to members of the production team during this year’s 67th edition.
• A restored version returns to theaters across Latin America with dates set for October 2 in Argentina and October 9 in Mexico, Brazil, Chile and additional territories via regional partners.
• In Mexico, audiences will also be able to see 35 mm screenings at Cineteca Nacional in Mexico City and at Cineteca FICG in Guadalajara.
• The anniversary program includes the sensorial exhibition Sueño Perro with runs in Milan, Mexico City and Los Angeles, an official MACK Books volume with new materials and essays, and streaming on MUBI starting October 24.
