- Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the Barapullah Phase‑3 elevated corridor on Tuesday, September 29, at a ceremony attended by Delhi leaders and PWD officials.
- The new section joins the existing Barapullah stretch at Sarai Kale Khan to form a continuous roughly 9–10 km east‑to‑south link intended for signal-free movement between Mayur Vihar Phase‑1 and AIIMS.
- PWD officials say the corridor includes eight loop ramps, a dedicated cycle track and pedestrian paths, and an extradosed bridge spanning the Yamuna floodplain to limit in‑river piers.
