Amit Shah Launches AI‑Enabled National IED Data System for Security Agencies

The AI-driven platform centralizes blast case records to speed post-blast probes.

Overview

  • Developed by the NSG with inputs from RRU, IIT Delhi, NIA and I4C, the system uses AI and machine learning to spot signature linkages and support predictive analysis.
  • The platform provides a secure, two-way single-window for NIA, state ATS units, state police and CAPFs to upload and retrieve IED incident data.
  • Officials said NIDMS will integrate with ICJS‑2 and connect with CCTNS under a One Nation, One Data Repository approach to improve evidence sharing and prosecutions.
  • Housed at the NSG garrison in Manesar, the system draws on NBDC records dating to 1999 and currently reports about 800 users across agencies.
  • NSG also announced expanded regional hubs in Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad, with a new hub in Ayodhya to reduce response times.
