Amit Shah Inaugurates Batadrava Abirbhav Kshetra in Assam

Overview

• The Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardev Abirbhav Kshetra at Batadrava in Nagaon was opened by the Union Home Minister on December 29, 2025.
• Assam officials cite an overall project cost of about Rs 227 crore for the completed cultural and heritage complex.
• Key elements include a 25-metre Guru Asana, Manikanchan Namghar, research and skill centres, a Krishnaleela theatre, an art and cultural centre, and visitor facilities such as lodges, cottages, and a health centre.
