Overview
- Shah arrived in Guwahati on Thursday and led a strategy review with the newly constituted 18-member core committee.
- State president Dilip Saikia said the panel was approved by J.P. Nadda and includes Himanta Biswa Sarma, Sarbananda Sonowal, Pabitra Margherita and other senior leaders.
- Party leaders said the committee’s mandate covers strategy formulation, coordination across units and mobilisation of grassroots workers for next year’s assembly polls.
- On Friday, Shah is scheduled to inaugurate the Brahmaputra wing of Raj Bhavan, e-launch the National Cyber Forensic Laboratory and initiate projects for the ITBP, SSB and Assam Rifles.
- He will address the NDA Panchayat Pratinidhi Sammelan as preparations for the 2026 elections formally kick off, after a visit expanded from one to two days.
