Amit Shah Announces 100 New Sainik Schools Under PPP Model

The move links defence-focused schooling to rural development via a new Sainik campus alongside an organic processing facility in Gujarat.

Overview

  • Shah made the announcement while virtually inaugurating the Motibhai R. Chaudhary Sagar Sainik School in Boriyavi, presented as a ₹50 crore facility with smart classrooms, hostels, a library and a canteen.
  • The Sagar Organic Plant was inaugurated with roughly 30 metric tonnes per day capacity and certifications under NPOP and APEDA to support access to international markets.
  • Officials said the plant is intended to raise incomes for organic farmers in north Gujarat and expand the availability of trusted organic products under the Amul brand.
  • The government highlighted cooperative-sector steps including 75,000 new primary dairy societies, three multi‑state cooperatives and a target for 50% of cooperative milk to reach wider markets.
  • Shah cited Dudhsagar Dairy’s expansion from 3,300 litres per day in 1960 to 35 lakh litres per day with over 10 lakh producers, as Gujarat’s chief minister announced a ₹10,000 crore relief package for rain‑hit farmers.
