American Society of Cinematographers Announces 2025 Nominees

Seven feature films, including 'Dune: Part Two' and 'Nosferatu,' lead the nominations for the 39th ASC Awards, to be held on February 23.

The ASC expanded its top feature-film category to seven nominees, including 'The Brutalist,' 'A Complete Unknown,' 'Conclave,' 'Dune: Part Two,' 'Maria,' 'Nosferatu,' and 'Wicked.'
Alice Brooks ('Wicked') became the fourth female cinematographer ever nominated in the ASC's feature-film category.
Veteran nominees include Greig Fraser ('Dune: Part Two'), Edward Lachman ('Maria'), and Phedon Papamichael ('A Complete Unknown'), each receiving their fourth ASC feature nomination.
The ASC Spotlight Award highlights smaller productions, with nominees including Michal Dymek ('The Girl with the Needle'), Jomo Fray ('Nickel Boys'), and Klaus Kneist and Renata Mwende ('Nawi').
The ASC Awards ceremony, postponed due to recent Los Angeles wildfires, will take place on February 23 at The Beverly Hilton.
