American F-16 Fighter Jet Crashes off South Korea Coast

Pilot safely ejects and is rescued; third such incident since May 2023

An American F-16 fighter jet crashed off the coast of South Korea due to an in-flight emergency.
The pilot ejected safely and was rescued by South Korean maritime forces.
The jet was assigned to the 8th Fighter Wing and the crash occurred during a training mission.
This is the third crash of an American F-16 fighter jet in South Korea since May 2023.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
