American Caver Rescued After 10-Day Ordeal Trapped Deep Inside Turkish Cave

American caver Mark Dickey was rescued after falling ill 1,000 meters below the entrance of a cave in Turkey.
Dickey suffered gastrointestinal bleeding and required medical assistance and evacuation from the cave over several days.
More than 150 Turkish and international rescuers were involved in the challenging operation.
Rescuers brought Dickey up through multiple underground camps to the surface by stretcher.
Dickey is now recovering and has expressed gratitude for the successful rescue effort.
