American Airlines Adds Pecan Lodge Barbecue to First Class on Select DFWNew York Flights

The preorder-only dishes rotate monthly under American's centennial customer-experience push.

Overview

  • The partnership brings Pecan Lodge meals to First Class on select Dallas–Fort Worth departures to New York LaGuardia and JFK, with service limited to the DFW-to-New York direction.
  • Orders must be placed through American’s app or website at least 20 hours before departure, with preorder opening January 11 for flights beginning February 11.
  • February’s featured option is a barbecue platter of smoked brisket and sausage served with mac and cheese and coleslaw, plus pickles, onions, and sauce.
  • March will switch to a chopped brisket sandwich on a brioche bun with roasted green beans and creamy potato salad, plus pickles, onions, and sauce.
  • American positions the tie-in as a centennial-year experience upgrade with a limited-time, rotating menu, and it has not announced any expansion beyond the initial rollout.
