AMD Sets December 10 Launch for FSR 'Redstone' ML Rendering Suite

The release introduces an ML-driven rendering suite built for RDNA 4 with a conversion path for other GPUs.

Overview

  • An AMD teaser confirms FSR Redstone will debut on December 10 following months of previews since Computex 2025.
  • Redstone bundles Neural Radiance Caching, ML Ray Regeneration, ML Super Resolution, and ML Frame Generation.
  • ML Ray Regeneration is already live in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 on Radeon RX 9000 hardware as an early component.
  • AMD says the neural core targets RDNA 4’s matrix-math acceleration, with performance on other GPUs not implied.
  • AMD’s ROCm ML2CODE project can convert the neural rendering core into compute shaders to run on non-AMD GPUs, with features enabled per game.
