AMD Secures Over 90% of CPU Sales at Major Retailers, Leaving Intel Far Behind

AMD dominates January CPU sales in Germany and the US, capturing the vast majority of market share and revenue at leading retailers.

At Germany's MindFactory, AMD accounted for 92.16% of CPU units sold in January, generating 93.45% of total revenue, while Intel managed just 7.84% of sales and 6.55% of revenue.
AMD's Ryzen 7 9800X3D was the best-selling processor, with 8,390 units sold in a single week, significantly outpacing Intel's offerings.
Amazon's January CPU sales in the US show AMD capturing 76.5% of units sold and 86.2% of revenue, with Intel lagging at 23.4% of units and 13.8% of revenue.
AMD's AM5 and AM4 socket platforms dominate sales, collectively comprising over 92% of units sold at MindFactory, compared to Intel's top-performing LGA 1700 socket at just 6.81%.
Intel's latest Arrow Lake CPUs struggled to make an impact, with the highest-selling model moving only 50 units in one day at MindFactory.
