AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D Outsells Entire Ryzen 9000 Non-X3D Line in Germany

The gaming-focused processor has become the most popular Zen 5 CPU at major German retailer Mindfactory, surpassing combined sales of other Ryzen 9000 chips.

The AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D has sold 8,650 units at German retailer Mindfactory since its November 2024 release, outperforming all other Ryzen 9000 non-X3D processors combined.
The 9800X3D, priced at $479, is touted as the best gaming CPU due to its 3D V-Cache technology, which boosts gaming performance.
Other Ryzen 9000 non-X3D models, such as the Ryzen 9 9700X and Ryzen 5 9600X, have seen significantly lower sales, with their combined total reaching only 5,090 units at Mindfactory.
The Ryzen 7 9800X3D remains in high demand globally, often selling out and reselling at a premium on third-party platforms despite occasional discounts.
While the 9800X3D is gaining traction, it still trails the previous-generation Ryzen 7 7800X3D, which has sold over 78,000 units at Mindfactory since its 2023 launch.
