AMD Reveals Preliminary Prices for Upcoming Ryzen CPUs
The new CPUs, all priced under $350, aim to tackle Intel's entry-level and mainstream market.
- Preliminary prices for AMD's upcoming Ryzen 8000G AM5, Ryzen 5000X3D & Ryzen 5000 AM4 Desktop CPUs have been revealed, all falling under the $350 US price range.
- The Ryzen 8000G APUs will be available in both PRO and Non-PRO flavors with the flagship SKU being the Ryzen 7 8700G offering 8 cores, 16 threads, a base clock of 4.2 GHz, and a boost clock of 5.1 GHz.
- The Ryzen 7 5700X3D will be a slightly toned-down version of the Ryzen 7 5800X3D with the same 8 cores, 16 threads but lower clock speeds of 3.0 GHz (Base) and 4.1 GHz (Boost).
- AMD is planning to replace its existing Ryzen 5 5600G APU with the Ryzen 5 5600GT & the Ryzen 5 5500GT, expected to be priced at $150 US & $130 US, respectively.
- AMD has confirmed its upcoming Ryzen 7 5700 CPU which is based on the Cezanne APU die & lacks an integrated graphics solution, aiming to serve the mainstream audiences with 8 cores & up to 4.6 GHz clocks.
