Overview
- AMD posted four new chips to its product pages without a formal announcement: Ryzen 7 9700F and Ryzen 5 9500F (Zen 5), Ryzen 5 7400 (Zen 4), and Ryzen 5 5600F (Zen 3).
- The Ryzen 7 9700F carries 8 cores, 32MB L3 cache, a 65W TDP, and 3.8 GHz base with up to 5.5 GHz boost, and it omits integrated graphics.
- The Ryzen 5 9500F features 6 Zen 5 cores, 32MB L3 cache, and no integrated graphics, and it is reported as broadly available at retail.
- AMD’s entry Ryzen 5 7400 ships with 6 cores, reduced 16MB L3 cache, and lower clocks, whereas the earlier 7400F counterpart delivers higher clocks and 32MB L3 but no iGPU.
- The Ryzen 5 5600F targets the APJ region with 6 cores and lowered 3.0/4.0 GHz clocks versus Ryzen 5 5600, while distribution for the new lineup is fragmented with the 9700F locked to North America and the 7400/7400F largely OEM‑focused in Asia.
