AMC Renews 'Dark Winds' for Season 4, Set for 2026 Release

The acclaimed drama will return with eight episodes, featuring Zahn McClarnon's directorial debut.

Season 4 of 'Dark Winds' will begin filming in March 2025 in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and is scheduled to air in 2026.
The series, based on Tony Hillerman's 'Leaphorn & Chee' books, stars Zahn McClarnon, Kiowa Gordon, and Jessica Matten as Navajo Tribal Police officers solving crimes in the 1970s.
Season 3, premiering March 9, 2025, follows investigations into the disappearance of two boys and a human and drug smuggling conspiracy.
Zahn McClarnon, who plays Lt. Joe Leaphorn, will make his directorial debut in Season 4 while continuing as an executive producer.
The show's popularity surged after its first two seasons were added to Netflix, remaining in the platform's Top 10 for over three weeks.
