• CBI said Phillip Torres Jr., 14, was located safely Thursday after an alert was issued earlier the same day.
• Investigators believed he was with his noncustodial father, Phillip Torres Sr., traveling in a 2004 gray Chevy Silverado.
• The truck, Colorado plate DIU-I66 with a missing tailgate, was reported in Poncha Springs at about 3:06 p.m.
• The teen was last seen in Thornton around 8 a.m., with an earlier sighting near the I-70/I-25 interchange reported around 10:32 a.m.
• The alert was deactivated at approximately 4:35 p.m., after authorities had urged the public to call 911 with any sightings.
