• Dr BR Ambedkar University Delhi issued orders on September 25 expelling Sharanya Verma, Shefali and Shubhojeet Dey, and debarred Ajay VS and Keerthana Lakshmi from campus entry and future admissions.
• University orders allege the five obstructed staff at the Kashmere Gate gate on April 11, pushed security, attempted to assault the vice chancellor and the registrar’s car, and damaged public property in an organised violent action.
• Those named deny the allegations, claim guards beat protesters including female students, and say the action lacks evidence.
• The affected students plan to petition the Delhi High Court for relief, with one saying they are prepared to seek Supreme Court review after submitting a memorandum to the lieutenant governor, the university’s chancellor.
• After the April clash the five were suspended but allowed to sit end‑semester exams, two have since graduated, and the debarment bars entry to all AUD campuses; the letters were signed by the registrar and secretary of the Board of Management.
