• Amazon has released two new 16 GB variants of the Kindle Colorsoft: a Base edition priced at €259.99 and a Kids edition at €279.99.
• Both editions preserve the original’s seven-inch color E-Ink display with adjustable front-light temperature, contrast settings, multi-week battery life and Bluetooth audiobook playback.
• The Base edition reduces storage from 32 GB to 16 GB in exchange for a €30 price cut and includes three months of Kindle Unlimited access.
• The Kids edition adds a protective case, a two-year worry-free guarantee, one year of Amazon Kids+ access, an integrated vocabulary trainer, a dyslexia-friendly font and parental controls.
• The launch follows initial display defects and supply challenges with the original model and aims to position Amazon more competitively against lower-priced color e-readers.
