Overview

  • Amazon has already rolled out same- and next-day delivery in over 1,000 small towns and plans to expand to more than 4,000 by December 2025.
  • A $4 billion investment will triple Amazon’s delivery network by the end of 2026 with an emphasis on rural America.
  • Same- or next-day deliveries have climbed over 30 percent year-on-year so far in 2025, driven by faster fulfillment in smaller communities.
  • Existing rural delivery stations will be upgraded into hybrid hubs that store inventory on-site for rapid final-mile fulfillment.
  • Machine learning will forecast regional demand for essentials and each new hub is expected to create around 170 direct jobs alongside expanded driving roles.
