Amazon Renews Gen V for Season 2 Following Successful Debut; Possible Release in 2025 Amid SAG-AFTRA Strike and The Boys Season 4 Premiere in 2024

Season 2 renewal comes on the heels of high viewership and popularity, but future scheduling is unclear due to ongoing industry strike and potential alignment with The Boys series release schedule.

Amazon has already renewed Gen V for a second season before the first season concluded. The release date for Season 2 is not yet determined due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike.
Gen V and The Boys exist alongside each other. Season 4 of The Boys, which has been filmed, will be released first, potentially leading Prime Video to hold off on releasing Gen V Season 2 until 2025.
Despite being separate shows, the events in Gen V Season 1 finale set the stage for The Boys Season 4. The latter takes place a few days after the former's finale, though watching both is not necessary to enjoy either show.
Most of the Gen V cast, including Jaz Sinclair (Marie), Lizze Broadway (Emma), Chance Perdomo (Andre), London Thor and Derek Luh (Jordan), Maddie Phillips (Cate), and Asa Germann (Sam), is expected to return for Season 2 unless significant changes occur in The Boys Season 4.
Season 2 of Gen V will likely focus on the characters dealing with the aftermath of four heroes being framed as villains and two villains hailed as heroes, while also revealing that Godolkin University was intended as a science lab to exploit students.
